This is the 2nd Rody I’ve purchased…each for great-grandchildren. What’s great about this toy is that young babies learning to stand can use it to hang onto and walk around, and larger children can bounce on it and scoot it all over the house. It grows (inflates more) with the child’s age. I also purchased the hand pump so it would be easier to properly inflate.

My 3 year-old daughters pre-school has several of these and they’re very popular with the kids so we bought one for our daughter for Christmas. They’re large enough for a kid to ride/bounce/walk forward on but small enough that the kid can carry it and put it somewhere, sitting in a chair for a tea party for instance, or sleeping in her bed after we’ve pulled it out three times. It was easy to pump up just using our standard foot pump and the nozzles that came with the horse. The horse is made of really dense rubber type stuff so it is extremely durable and you can experiment with how much air to put into it depending on the child’s size and weight.

I bought Rody for my daughter when she was 11 months old. Two years later she still likes it. It was the all-around favorite for the first year that she had it.
Some reviews mention that it inflated unevenly. Please read the instructions and be careful not to overfill.
This toy is durable enough to support much larger children, and that is one reason that I bought it. No need to worry about play groups and older siblings. One year-old need to develop gross motor skills and this old-fashioned, kid-powered toy encourages that.
Awesome toy for it’s simplicity and durable quality. Well worth $50.

My 2 year old daugher likes to play with the horse, but she can’t jump on it because it is lopsided. When I blew it up, the right side of the horse inflated more than the left side, so it is impossible to balance. I tried starting from scratch, but the same thing happened. Hopefully this is a rare error, but keep your receipt in case this happens to you – it’s very hard to use when it is lopsided.

My daughter received it at 14 months, not until 18 months (and she’s big for her age) was she actually able to sit and bounce unassisted (supervised). Nice quality, simple, very sturdy and easy to keep clean. Also light enough for her to drag around.
